HPE P19720-B21 ProLiant DL380 Gen10 2U Rack Server (8 SFF)
Overview
The HPE P19720-B21 is a configure-to-order (CTO) version of the ProLiant DL380 Gen10 chassis built for enterprise-class workloads requiring dual-socket processing and robust memory/storage expansion. It supports up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors and up to 3.0 TB of DDR4 memory (with LRDIMMs) or up to 6.0 TB with Intel Optane Persistent Memory modules — giving you serious headroom for virtualization, large-scale databases, or mixed compute & storage clusters. In deployment, you’ll mount it in a standard 19-inch rack (2U height) and configure it for 8 hot-plug small-form-factor (2.5″) drive bays in the front, making it suitable for high-density SAS/SATA SSDs or mix of SAS/HDD drives. The system also features HPE’s iLO 5 remote management, flexible riser cards and multiple power-supply options — so operations teams can manage at scale with remote firmware updates, health monitoring and fleet-wide orchestration. In short: if you need a flexible 2-socket rack server that balances compute, memory and storage options, the P19720-B21 is a solid foundation.
Key Features
-
Up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors deliver up to 28 cores (or more depending on generation) for demanding virtualised or containerised environments.
-
8 front hot-plug 2.5″ drive bays in the 8 SFF configuration provide high-density storage for SAS/SATA/SSD use cases.
-
Memory scalability up to 3.0 TB (24×128 GB LRDIMMs) or up to 6.0 TB with Intel Optane Persistent Memory modules — ideal for large in-memory workloads.
-
Integrated iLO 5 and extensive remote-management capabilities support lights-out operations, firmware automation and large-scale deployments.
-
Flexible riser and power-supply options (e.g., 1+1 redundant supplies) allow customised power/cooling configurations for data-centre deployment.
