The HP C8S07B is a single‑bay external docking station designed for the HPE RDX removable‑disk cartridge system, targeting branch offices, small server installations and remote sites needing reliable disk‑based backups. It connects via USB 3.0 to support fast backup and restore operations and accepts HPE RDX cartridges (500 GB to 4 TB) to provide orderly off‑site media rotation. The compact form factor allows deployment at the edge, branch or in a light‑duty data‑centre environment where space and IT resources may be limited. The docking station is backward‑ and forward‑compatible with RDX cartridges and integrates into standard OS backup workflows or virtualization environments without specialized software.
