Overview
The HPE JL003A is a 4-rack-unit modular switch chassis designed for campus access or aggregation layers requiring high port density, PoE+ power, fibre uplinks and stacking capabilities. It includes 44 auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 PoE+ ports, four 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink slots and four additional module slots for flexible expansion. With switching capacity up to 960 Gbps and packet forwarding rates up to 571.4 Mpps, it supports demanding mobile-first networks, high-density WLAN aggregation or converged wired-wireless infrastructures. The architecture enables stacking via Virtual Switching Framework (VSF) and supports advanced Layer 2/3 features including IPv4/IPv6 routing, QoS, ACLs and high-availability operation. This chassis fits standard 19-inch racks and is suitable for enterprise campus wiring closets or aggregation zones where modular flexibility and high performance are required.
