HPE Q9H63A – Aruba AP-515 Indoor Wi-Fi 6 Access Point
Overview
The HPE Q9H63A (Aruba AP-515) is a high-performance indoor Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point designed for dense enterprise or campus environments—places where many users, devices and Wi-Fi 6 clients contend concurrently. It delivers up to around 5.4 Gbps aggregate throughput (≈4.8 Gbps in 5GHz + ≈575 Mbps in 2.4GHz) using 4×4:4 MIMO in the 5GHz band and 2×2:2 in the 2.4GHz band. This makes it well suited to large open-offices, lecture halls, hotel lobbies, or retail showrooms. It includes a SmartRate 2.5 GbE RJ-45 port (plus a 1 GbE) so wired uplink doesn’t become the bottleneck. It fits into the wider Aruba 510 Series ecosystem and leverages features like OFDMA, MU-MIMO, TWT, ClientMatch, and built-in Bluetooth 5/Zigbee radios for IoT applications.
Key Features
-
Up to ~5.4 Gbps total wireless data rate: ~4.8 Gbps in the 5 GHz band + ~575 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band — supports high-density device zones.
-
SmartRate RJ-45 uplink (2.5 GbE) plus 1 GbE port — prevents wired uplink bottleneck in high-throughput deployments.
-
Dual-radio 802.11ax with OFDMA, MU-MIMO, 1024-QAM and beam-forming — improves client performance and network efficiency when many devices connect.
-
Built-in Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee (802.15.4) radios — adds support for IoT, asset tracking or location-services use-cases without extra hardware.
-
Internal antennas (for this model) appropriate for ceiling- or wall-mount deployments — simplifies installation in office or campus ceiling plenum.
