The HPE JH407A is an unmanaged, plug-and-play 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed with small offices and edge deployments in mind. It includes 5 × 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports with auto-negotiation and auto-MDIX, enabling quick installation without configuration or network-management overhead. Its compact and fanless design supports quiet operation, making it suitable for open office spaces, small wiring closets or remote rack units. With a throughput of up to 10 Gbps and packet buffering of 1 Mb, this unit handles everyday switching needs—such as connecting workstations, APs and IP phones—while consuming minimal power (approximately 3 W). The device integrates easily into existing network fabric, requiring no changes to routing or advanced features, and operates reliably under standard commercial conditions from 0 °C to 40 °C.
