HPE P09707-B21 ProLiant DL385 Gen10 2U Rack Server
Overview
The HPE P09707-B21 is a factory-integrated 2U rack server from the DL385 Gen10 line, designed for organisations that require a single-socket, enterprise-class compute node with strong upgrade potential. It comes pre-configured with an AMD EPYC 7351 processor (16-cores, 2.4 GHz) and 32 GB of registered DDR4 memory, in a chassis supporting up to 8 hot-plug 2.5″ SFF drive bays. This makes it well suited for virtualised environments, storage-intensive workloads (e.g., file servers, backup nodes) or general-purpose servers leveraged in branch and core datacentre racks. In deployment terms, you’d mount this unit in a standard 19-inch rack, and connect it into your existing infrastructure using the embedded HPE Smart Array controller and FlexibleLOM network options. Given its expandable memory slots (32 DIMMs) and support for second processor in future, it provides a stepping stone into higher performance tiers without needing a chassis swap. From an operations perspective it integrates HPE iLO 5 and Intelligent Provisioning to support remote monitoring, firmware automation and lights-out management across your server fleet. For environments where space, rack power and serviceability matter, the DL385 Gen10 chassis (as embodied by the P09707-B21) offers a blend of rack-density, performance and manageability. It’s especially relevant in mixed compute/storage clusters where you want to standardise on single-socket nodes but retain capacity to scale later.
