APC AP9520TH Temp & Humidity Sensor with LCD Display
Overview
The APC AP9520TH is a wired temperature and humidity sensor with an integrated display engineered for IT and data center environmental monitoring. It is commonly deployed by data center managers and facilities engineers to obtain point‑of‑installation environmental readings and to feed that data into larger monitoring systems to protect critical infrastructure from thermal or moisture‑related issues.
This sensor measures ambient temperature and relative humidity and provides a built‑in visual readout of current conditions directly on the unit’s display. It connects to APC environmental management infrastructures via the A‑Link sensor bus, allowing chained deployments of multiple sensors on a single monitoring appliance.
Mechanically compact and wall‑mountable, the AP9520TH is suited for rack‑adjacent installation or placement near key equipment zones within server rooms or IT closets. The wired connection ensures continuous telemetry to a NetBotz appliance or UPS environmental card for centralized logging and alerting.
The on‑device display gives operators immediate local awareness of facility conditions without needing to access a central console. However, while it reports environmental data visually and electronically, it does not perform automated control actions (e.g., cooling activation), so it must be paired with monitoring/alert systems to drive corrective actions.
AP9520TH is not designed as a wireless sensor or as a standalone controller; its deployment is contingent on integration with APC’s A-Link‑aware management units.
