Overview
The HPE 681842-B21 is a rack-mountable blade server enclosure targeted at enterprise and data-centre infrastructure teams who consolidate multiple server blades into a single chassis. It supports up to 16 half-height server blades (or 8 full-height equivalents) and provides shared I/O, power/backplane and cooling infrastructure to reduce cabling and improve manageability. This model is optimized for 1-phase AC power input and includes six hot-plug platinum-rated power supplies and ten variable-speed active cooling fans, supporting high-density, high-availability installations. It is suited for data-centre racks, converged-infrastructure deployments and modular server farms in campus-, edge- or backbone-zones. The management subsystem integrates a built-in Onboard Administrator with KVM support for local/remote hardware management and asset monitoring.
