Overview
The HPE JL479A is a 1 U rack-mount, Layer 3 managed Ethernet switch designed for core, aggregation or top-of-rack deployments in enterprise campus or data-centre networks. It delivers 48×10 GbE SFP/SFP+ ports plus 6×40 GbE QSFP+ uplinks, offering high-density 10 Gb connectivity and scalable 40 Gb uplinks in a compact form. With a switching capacity of up to 2.5 Tbps, the switch supports high-throughput environments and uses the Aruba AOS-CX operating system to provide advanced automation, programmability (REST APIs, Python scripting), analytics (time-series database) and high-availability features such as Virtual Switching Extension (VSX). It is suitable for data-centre spine/leaf, aggregation layer or high-performance campus core racks where high speed, flexibility and future growth are critical.
