Overview
The HPE J9779A is a 1U rack-mount Layer 2 access switch designed for small-to-medium-business and branch-office environments where powering connected devices (such as IP phones or wireless access points) via PoE+ is required. It delivers 24 autosensing RJ-45 ports at 10/100 Mbps, all supporting PoE+ functionality (compliant with IEEE 802.3at), plus two additional autosensing 10/100/1000 Mbps ports and two fixed Gigabit SFP uplink ports. The switch includes a total PoE budget of 195 W and supports typical security and access-features such as ACLs and IPv6 host mode. Its compact height makes it suitable for wiring closets, edge racks or small IT rooms.
