Overview :
This module is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ transceiver designed for use by network engineers who require short‑range multimode fibre connectivity over legacy installs. It supports the IEEE 802.3aq 10GBASE‑LRM specification and allows full‑duplex 10 Gb/s links up to approximately 220 m on 50/125 µm or 62.5/125 µm multimode fibre. It is suitable for data centre top‑of‑rack, wiring‑closet aggregation and campus backbone segments where existing multimode fibre is present rather than single‑mode. It plugs into standard SFP+ slots in switches, routers and transceivers that accept the form factor and enables reuse of multimode infrastructure rather than rewiring to single‑mode fibre.
