It provides native capacity of 12 TB and up to 30 TB with 2.5:1 compression, using the LTO‑8 Ultrium format, making it suitable for long‑term retention workloads. The cartridge is compatible with automated tape libraries at data centres or archival vaults and supports WORM (Write‑Once, Read‑Many) functionality to enforce write‑once media for regulatory environments. It also integrates seamlessly with linear‑tape file system (LTFS) workflows or traditional backup software, enabling offline air‑gap storage for protection against ransomware or mass‑data loss.
