Overview
The HPE JW088A is a 1 Gigabit SFP optical transceiver module designed for enterprise fibre-optic left-and-right connection in access or aggregation networks. It supports the 1000BASE-SX standard over multimode fibre using an 850 nm wavelength and is rated for distances up to about 550 metres in MMF environments. It fits standard SFP cages in HPE/Aruba switches and mobility controllers and enables cost-effective fibre uplink or fibre link segments where copper is not suitable. Typical use: connecting wiring-closet switches to fibre backbone or linking buildings across campus.
