The RUCKUS ICX7550-48F-E2-R3 is a 48-port fiber-centric fixed switch suitable for aggregation or high-density access in enterprise and campus networks. It supports up to 36 SFP ports for 100/1000 Mbps fiber links plus 12 SFP+ ports for 1/10 Gb connectivity, and dual-mode QSFP/ QSFP28 uplink/stacking capability. The device can participate in a stack of up to 12 switches with aggregate stack bandwidth up to 2.4 Tb/s, delivering L2 and full L3 services including RIP, OSPF and BGP. It supports full redundancy with dual load-sharing power supplies and hot-swappable fans, and offers both front-to-back or back-to-front airflow. Deployment scenarios include campus distribution, edge aggregation, and fiber-to-the-room access where high port-density and uplink bandwidth are required.
