Overview
The HPE J9726A is a fully managed Layer 3 access‑layer Ethernet switch designed for branch offices, campus access floors and small to medium‑sized enterprise deployments. The unit offers 20 auto‑sensing RJ‑45 10/100/1000 Mbps ports plus 4 dual‑personality RJ‑45/SFP ports, providing a total of 24 gigabit access and dual‑mode uplink ports. Two module slots allow support for optional 10 GbE uplink modules, and a stacking module slot enables chassis‑level aggregation of up to four units. With a switching capacity of 128 Gb/s and a forwarding rate around 95.2 Mpps at 64‑byte packets, it supports both standard access services and advanced flows such as static IP routing, ACLs, sFlow and IPv6 host mode. The chassis is 1‑U rack‑mountable, suited to access racks in wiring closets and integrates with broader infrastructure‑management platforms.
