Overview
The HPE JD092A is a 10 Gigabit small-form-factor pluggable (SFP+) transceiver designed for enterprise fibre links, especially in data-centre, aggregation or campus backbone environments. It uses an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter over multimode fibre (MMF) and supports the 10GBASE-SR standard. Distances of up to approximately 300 m on OM3/OM4 MMF are specified under standard use. In the field you would deploy this module in a 10G SFP+ port on a switch or router to connect between racks or buildings where copper or shorter-reach modules are insufficient.
