Overview
The HPE JG915A is a 10 Gigabit small-form-factor pluggable plus (SFP+) optical transceiver module built for long-reach single-mode fibre (SMF) links. It uses a wavelength around 1550 nm, has a duplex LC connector form-factor, and supports distances up to approximately 80 km under typical fibre‐channel conditions. You’d typically deploy it in a campus backbone, data-centre inter-rack/room link, or building-to-building fibre run where latency and bandwidth matter and multimode fibre is not suited. It fits into SFP+ ports on compatible HPE/Aruba networking switches and aggregation modules and supports hot-swapping for minimal downtime.
