HPE JG932A FlexNetwork 5130-24G-4SFP+ EI Switch
Overview
The HPE JG932A is a Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet access switch designed for the network edge in medium to large enterprise campus networks. It addresses the need for scalable, high-availability connectivity by providing 24 autosensing 10/100/1000 ports and four 10GbE SFP+ uplinks to eliminate traffic bottlenecks and support bandwidth-intensive applications. This switch is engineered for environments requiring resilient and simplified network infrastructure. A key technical feature is HPE’s Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology, which allows up to nine physical switches to be virtualized and managed as a single logical device. This capability dramatically simplifies network design and management, increases resilience, and enhances performance by enabling load sharing across the virtual fabric. Support for static and RIP Layer 3 routing, alongside a comprehensive set of security and QoS policies, ensures efficient traffic management and robust access control. The JG932A is a 1U rack-mountable unit, making it ideal for top-of-rack deployments in wiring closets or at the access layer connecting end-user devices. Management is versatile, offering a full command-line interface (CLI), a secure web GUI, and SNMP support. For centralized control, the switch can be managed by HPE’s Intelligent Management Center (IMC), providing a unified view and control over the entire network infrastructure.
