Overview

The HPE J9772A is a fully managed Layer 2 access switch tailored for enterprise edge and wiring‑closet environments where both high‑density connectivity and PoE+ capabilities are required. It provides 48 autosensing Gigabit RJ‑45 ports with PoE+ support, plus four fixed Gigabit SFP ports for fiber uplinks, enabling seamless integration of wireless access points, IP phones, and other powered endpoints alongside standard data traffic. With a switching capacity of 104 Gb/s and forwarding performance up to 77.3 Mpps (64‑byte packets), this model fits well in campus access, branch office and SMB network builds. It includes advanced access security (802.1X, ACLs), traffic prioritisation, IPv6 host support, energy‑efficient Ethernet features, and works with management systems such as Aruba ClearPass, AirWave or Aruba Central, making it suitable for modern wired‑wired and wired‑wireless convergence.
